Retired Supreme Court Judge, Justice Mariama Owusu, has made a personal donation of books to the Faculty of Law at the 糖心Vlog and Technology (KNUST) to support the faculty鈥檚 library and enrich the learning experience of students.

Receiving the donation, Acting Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Chris Adomako-Kwakye thanked her warmly. 鈥淲e are grateful for your generosity. Books basically help us to gain knowledge, expand our perspective, and understand what鈥檚 happening around us. I believe our students will find this very useful. The faculty remains grateful.鈥

In response, Justice Mariama Owusu shared her motivation. 鈥淚 felt the need to come back home and support my own,鈥 she said. 鈥淓ven though we鈥檙e in a computer age, I鈥檓 sure there are still people who need to read books before exams. I鈥檓 happy to support the faculty in my small way, especially to help those who may not have laptops.鈥

Dr. Thaddeus Nkum Manu, Head of Department of Private Law added with appreciation, 鈥淵ou鈥檝e solved some of our problems. In future, we鈥檒l call on you not just for advice but also to share your wisdom and maybe even join some of our conversations.鈥
The Vice Dean, Dr. (Mrs.) Renee听Morhe also expressed excitement about the donation. 鈥淲hen I look at the display, I know these are books we really need. They鈥檙e current, and as Oliver Twist said, we鈥檒l want more, and we鈥檙e ready to receive.鈥
Assistant Librarian, Ms. Rita Akotey, assured that the books would be fully utilized to benefit students and faculty members alike.
