A royal family of the late renowned Professor of Art and Graphic Design at the Minneapolis Community and Technical College (MCTC), Minnesota, USA, has paid a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor to deliberate on partnership which would promote Art and Graphic Design in the Faculty of Art under the College of Art and Social Sciences, KNUST.

The wife of the late Professor Felix Ampah, Mrs. Silvia Ampah, elaborated on the life of her husband and his achievements after his twenty six years of lecturing at the Art and Design Department of MCTC. She added that, as a resourceful Professor, Felix Ampah owned a Fine Art Gallery of in Richfield, Minnesota where life was celebrated through art and seminars on art are also held at the gallery.

She continued that, the legacy of Prof. Ampah should be continued and as part of an initiative to escalate this objective, opportunities were available for students studying art to study the work of Prof. Felix Ampah. She assured that, through a collaborative platform, there could be student exchanges between KNUST and MCTC where students would benefit from scholarships for their studies.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. W. O. Ellis embraced Mrs. Silvia Ampah's initiative to sponsor the study of art in that directive. He encouraged that, Mrs. Ampah in collaboration with MCTC could enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with KNUST to facilitate avenues to broaden the scope of Art in the University.
