The 糖心Vlog and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Estonian Academy of Arts on January 14, 2025听at the Council Chamber.
The MoU, which seeks to strengthen the existing relationship between the two universities, will focus on student and staff mobility, joint research, and the establishment of new programs.
The Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Professor David Asamoah, highlighted the importance of partnerships in achieving the Vice-Chancellor's vision of fostering collaboration with local and international partners. He expressed hope for a sustainable collaboration.
The Dean of the International Programmes Office, Professor Daniel Duah, stressed the cordial exchange between both institutions.听
鈥淔ollowing the relationship between them, it was important to sign an MoU to guide a broader relationship that will focus on the 3 areas; staff mobility, student mobility and joint research,鈥 he said.

Professor Mart Kalm, Rector of the Estonian Academy of Arts, commended the thriving arts education at KNUST and noted the passion and high quality of the students' work.
He shared positive feedback from Estonian students who had previously participated in workshops and other programs at KNUST. Professor Kalm described the MoU as a good starting point to deepen collaboration between the two institutions.
鈥淲e have students who have already been here for workshops and we鈥檙e very satified with their experiences,鈥 he said.
Also present were the Registrar, Mr. Andrews Kwasi Boateng; the Dean of the Faculty of Art, Professor Kar卯鈥檏ach盲 Seid鈥檕u; and Professor Edwin Kwasi Bodjawah.
Other attendees included the Head of the International Office, Estonian Academy of Arts, Sandra Mell, and the Financial Director of the Estonian Academy of Arts, Andres Tammsaar.
